Funeral for Charles “Chuck” Cathers, 61, of Somerville was Wed., Jan. 21, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Equator Black officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial was in Nelson Hollow Cemetery. Visitation was Wednesday from 2 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Cathers died Sun., Jan. 18, 2015, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born March 4, 1953, in Pennsylvania to Charles Cathers and Reba Sandlin Cathers. He was formerly employed by the Chevron station on Hwy. 36 east by Joe Ed Tankersley as a station attendant. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Kelly Hann, (Patrick) of Somerville; a brother, John Daniel Cathers of Falkville; and three grandchildren, Laila Hann, Isaiah Hann and Skylar Hann; and a uncle, Roger Sandlin.

Pallbearers were family and friends.
