Lunch/brunch meets at Libby’s in Priceville

Delane and Darlene McCormick had several Christmas get-togethers. On Christmas Eve, they had supper with their daughters, son-in-laws and the grandchildren. Gifts were exchanged and a wonderful night together was shared.

On Christmas evening, they were at the Hartselle Civic Center with the McCormick family: Delane’s mother, brother, sisters, plus all the cousins. The youngest brother and his family were missed as they were absent due to work schedules.

On Sat., Dec. 27, they had Christmas with Darlene’s family at the home of her sister, Judy Toone.

Late happy birthday wishes to McKenzie Klocek on Jan. 4.

Celebrating birthdays at First Baptist Church Falkville last week were Amelia Reed on Jan. 12, Lawanna Tarpley on Jan. 13, Vaughn Burden on Jan. 14, June Davis on Jan. 18, and Paul Morgan on Jan. 19.

The lunch and brunch group met at Libby’s Restaurant at Priceville last Tuesday. Among those sharing the good food and fellowship were Howard and Helen Gibson, J.L. and Ann Sanders, Ray and Betty Sanders, Eva Stinson, Kathy Gray and Wilma Depreast.

Darlene McCormick is sending a big happy birthday to her sisters, Charlene Self of Uzark, and Bernice Countman of Boaz.

Happy birthday to Dena Thomason on Jan. 8, Danielle Teague on Jan. 15, Bubbie McCormick on Jan. 16, and Darlene McCormick on Jan. 17.

Young at Heart met in the fellowship hall at First Baptist Church at Falkville, Thur., Jan. 8. Enjoying the potato bar with all the fixings were Bob and Patricia Ramey, Don and Charlotte Morris, June Walling, Geraldine Rowe, John Moore, David Teague, Rita Burden, Janet Wood, C.A. and Lola Blevins, Don and Pat Nelson, Bonnie Thompson, Dean Nelson, Jimmy Teague, Alfred and Linda Bryan, Joe and Fran Edmondson, Dwight and Linda Alldredge, John and Martha Nelson, and Raymond and Karen Banks.

In closing, Don Morris spoke on “The important farming techniques of growing potatoes.”
