Lessons learned in life

Ever had someone to tell you that we learn from our mistakes? Sometimes we need to look to our past and remember the basic teachings as we were growing up. We need to spend each day on the truths on which we build our life. In 2 Timothy 3:14, Timothy tells us to continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of knowing of whom thou hast learned them. By reading and studying the Bible, we can learn something each day.

Those visiting with Cecil and Jo Bomar on Christmas Eve were: Fred and Evelyn Motes, Nathan and Javon Alldredge, Mike and Kaye Widener, Daniel Bomar, Jason, Trisha, Dylan and Haley Bomar, Carol and Chris Hardin, Mearleen Maples, Tara Heard and Katie Knighten. All had a great time.

Nothing seems to bring families together like Christmas, a time when we can come together and put our cares behind us for a while. Even facing many health issues this year Fred and Evelyn Motes was excited to have everyone together. This year all met at the home of Darren and Roxanne Tucker, Fred and Evelyn’s daughter and son-in-law. As always, everyone gathered in the living room. At this time, each one had the opportunity to share what they wanted too. Some shared memories, some wished everyone Merry Christmas while others shared things they were thankful for. Following this, all joined hands and had prayer, thanking God for the true meaning of Christmas. After a wonderful lunch, everyone returned to the living room for a time of games and visiting with each other. A special thank you to Darren, Roxanne, Darian and Rachel for making our time together so special.

Christian love and sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Curley Mann.
