Snow White auditions slated for Saturday, Tuesday

College Street Players will hold auditions for “The Rockin’ Tale of Snow White” Sat., Nov. 15 and Tues., Nov. 18.

Casting will be for first grade through adult with first through sixth grades auditioning Nov. 15 from 9 a.m. to noon and seventh grade through adult auditioning Nov. 18 from 6-8 p.m. Auditions will be held at the Hartselle Fine Arts Center.

“The Rockin’ Tale of Snow White” is a musical, and principal characters will be cast on vocal strengths as well as character description and stage presence. Those who plan to audition should be prepared to sing a brief piece that highlights their vocal range and strengths. First through sixth grade will have group singing auditions based on a song picked by the directors.

A few non-singing parts are available that require learning a simple dance step routine during audition.

“The Rockin’ Tale of Snow White” will be performed Feb. 18- 21, 2015, with seven performances at the Hartselle High School Auditorium.

Casts lists will be posted by Sun., Nov. 30. A cast meeting will be held Dec. 2, and rehearsals will begin Tues., Jan. 6.

Dena Nagel and Jenny Faulk will direct the production, and Wanda Thompson is the director of music.
