Lucille Maples Moon

Funeral for Lucille Maples Moon, 90 of Hartselle was Tues., Sept. 10 at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. T. Reynolds Hall and Rev. Bert Bunner officiating.

Burial was in Hartselle Memory Gardens Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Moon was born Feb. 8,1923, in Morgan County to Leanord Maples and Elsie Holloway Maples. She died Sun., Sept. 8, 2013, at Riverside Assisted Living Center in Decatur. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, E. O. Moon.

She is survived by a son, Vaughn Moon and wife Judy of Hartselle; a daughter; Marie Hagood and husband Lynn of Somerville; a sister, Betty Gullette of Decatur; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Jason Moon, Jerry Moon, Donavon Moon, John Maples, Roger Maples, Larry Lyle, Zackery Moses, Ronald Gullette and Carlton Lee Wilson.
