Floyd Don Green

Funeral for Floyd Don Green, 62, of Somerville will be Tues., Feb. 5, at 1:30 p.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home with Brother Chris Pressnell and Brother Ricky Lowery officiating.

Burial will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens in Decatur. Visitation will be Mon. Feb. 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Green died Sat. Feb. 2, 2013 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born Nov. 22, 1950 in Morgan County to Floyd O. Green and Lucille Morgan Green. Mr. Green was a member of Flint Church of Christ. He retired from Browns Ferry after 20 years and also retired from South Limestone Co-op. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gary Green.

He is survived by his wife, of 41 years, Martha Green of Somerville; a son, Floyd Don ‘Donnie’ Green Jr. and wife Melissa of Hartselle; a daughter, Dana Brown and husband Tommy of Hartselle; three sisters, Annette ‘Susie’ and husband Earl Montgomery, Anita Green both of Belle Mina and Connie Millwood and husband Randy of Blountsville; a sister-in-law, Gloria Green of Decatur; four grandchildren, Mary Allyson Green, Katelyn Green, Logan Brown and Luke Brown; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Seth Green, Todd Newsom, Ottie Newsom, Morgan Montgomery, Rick Cook and Chuck Long.
