Funeral for Ruby McCleskey Higdon, 96, of Hartselle will be Fri., Dec. 14, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Harold Thompson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Johnson Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Fri., Dec. 14, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Higdon died Wed., Dec. 12, 2012, at her residence. She was born Aug. 24, 1916, in Morgan County to Farris C. McCleskey and Mary Lou (Thompson) McCleskey. Mrs. Higdon was a former Goodyear employee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Higdon, and her parents. Family members would like to say a special thanks to Linda, Jan and Diane and also to Hospice of North Alabama.

She is survived by a sister, Dorothy McCleskey Lake of Hartselle, and 20 nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be nephews.
