Sims, McCollum to wed
Mr. and Mrs. John Lewis Sims Jr. of Danville announce the engagement of their daughter, Sally Ann Sims of Danville, to Brian Keith McCollum of Hartselle, son of Michael McCollum of Decatur and Donna Gardner of Albany, Ga.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herb Thieme of Ventura, Ca., the late Mr. and Mrs. John Sims Sr. and the late Marion Thieme.
A 2000 graduate of Danville High School, she received an associate’s degree in drafting and design in 2002 from Calhoun Community College. She is employed with D&D Design of Huntsville.
The future groom is the grandson of Sydney Barnett of Cullman and the late Nellie Barnett and the late Nellene McCollum and Allie McCollum. He attended Danville High School and is employed by River City Welding Supply in Decatur.
A wedding is planned for April 21, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Danville Baptist Church.
