Breeder finds himself on championship trail

NICK JOHNSTON, Hartselle Enquirer
Let's see, there's Yellow Magic, Spectacyella, Maximus and Streakin' just to name a few.
Those were the top four horses at the 2002 World Championship Palomino Show.
They all belong to one person – Hartselle's James Kifer.
Last week in Tulsa, Okla., Kifer and his trainer, Jerri Harmon, took horses to the World Championship Palomino Show and came away with the top four horses.
"It's such a competitive thing," Kifer said. "They have to be perfect, and I most of everything to Jerri (Harmon).
"She's the best, and that's why she's with me."
Some of the credit might need to go to the actual workhorse – Mr. Yellow Fellow.
Mr. Yellow Fellow is the leading sire in the Palomino Horse Breeders Association at present, and all four horses in the Palomino Show are his.
"The best horses are supposed to look like Arnold Schwarzenegger," Kifer said. "He's got that look."
Mr. Yellow Fellow is also the ninth best Quarter Horse breeder.
Another horse that Kifer thinks will have the same look is Blink Blink.
That's right – Blink Blink.
