Danville wins 3 regular season matches

The Lady Hawks went on the road to beat Falkville in a best-of-three match Monday, improving Danville's record to 6-2 on the young season.
Jordan Spinks led the team with eight kills and added one assist, three aces and two digs.
Alaina Fitzgerald had a team high 16 assists and six aces and also picked up seven kills and three digs. Kirby Wallace finished with four kills and three aces and Lindsay Simmons had five kills, five aces and two digs.
Brittany Atkins had an assist; Chelsea Keenum had three kills; Kimberly Lindsey had one ace and one assist; Lacey Evans had three assists; and Tara Wimberley had a kill, two aces and two digs.
Danville def. West Morgan 25-19, 25-22; Danville def. Tanner 25-13, 25-4
Danville swept its two opponents in games played at Tanner last Thursday. Against West Morgan, Fitzgerald led the way with 11 kills, four digs and two aces. Spinks had three kills and one ace; Simmons finished with five kills and five aces; Lindsey had six assists and two digs; and Evans had four assists and three digs.
Against Tanner, Fitzgerald had a team-high 11 kills and added an ace, a block and a dig. Spinks finished with three kills and two aces; Wallace had two kills; Simmons had two kills and four aces; and Lindsey finished with a team-high six assists.
Danville JV finishes 2nd at kickoff tourney;
currently 7-1
The Danville JV team improved to 7-1 following a three-game victory over Falkville Monday.
Sara Terry led the team with 10 kills, Kaitlin Wallace had a team-high 10 aces and Taylor Shultz led with 10 digs.
Morgan Doherty had nine kills and five digs and Kayloni Cross had three kills and four digs.
The JV Lady Hawks finished second place at their kickoff tournament Saturday, falling to Hartselle in the championship match.
Danville won its other four matches in tournament play and pool play, including a pool play victory over Hartselle.
For the day, Terry and Tara Wimberley each had 39 kills and Ashley Nance had a strong tournament defensively with six blocks.
On Aug. 23, Danville swept West Morgan and Tanner. Terry finished both games with four kills and Wimberley had 11.
Doherty and Wallace each had 13 assists and Hanna Little had four digs.
