Funeral for Jesse Thomas King, 83, of Decatur was Sunday, May 6, at 1:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Jason Moore and Todd Sharp officiating.
Burial was in Hartselle Memory Gardens.
Mr. King died Friday, May 4, 2007, at Parkway Medical Center.
He was a member of Cave Springs Baptist Church in Priceville and was retired as a switchman from South Central Bell. He was an U.S. Army veteran of World War II who served with Company B, 321st Infantry Battalion.
He is survived by his wife, Vivian C. King of Decatur; two daughters, Linda Smith and husband Jimmy and Deborah Ryan and husband Ronnie, all of Decatur; a granddaughter, Lorie Crawley and husband Randy; two grandsons, Joey Smith and wife Carol and Scott King and wife Cari; and seven great-grandchildren, Cody Cheatham, Hayden Smith, Hunter Smith, Baylee Crawley, Alissa Crawley, J.B. Beard and Kayla Beard.
Pallbearers were Mark Collier, Mark Sanders, Jerry Collier, Johnny Johnson, Bill Radcliff and Dwayne Keel.
