Funeral for Bonnie Jack Winton, 72, of Hartselle was Wednesday, Feb. 28, at 11 a.m. at Center Springs United Methodist Church with the Revs. Steve Pilkington and Gary Peebles officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
Mr. Winton died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007, at Hartselle Medical Center. He was born April 6, 1934, in Morgan County to Thomas David Winton and Laura Manilla Turney Winton. He was an employee at Wolverine Tube for 33 years. After his retirement, he spent 10 years working as a coach with the developmentally disabled. He was an avid sports fan. He attended Center Springs United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by a brother, Larry David Winton.
He is survived by his wife, Anne Whitten Winton of Hartselle; four sons, Anthony Winton of Somerville, Doug Winton and wife Shannon, Larry Winton and wife Mary and Mike Winton and wife Tammy, all of Hartselle; a daughter, Deborah Winton Gregg and husband Frank of Northport; a brother, Carl Hubbel Winton of Arizona; and seven grandchildren, Ben Winton, Erin Gregg, Megan Gregg, Kolter Winton, Kelsey Winton, Sara Winton and Jacob Winton.
Pallbearers were Eulas Briscoe, Royce Turney, Jimmy Maze, Iris Winton, John Turney and Johnny Maxwell.
