Funeral for Martha Rachel Cobb, 74, of Falkville was Saturday, Nov. 4, at 11 a.m. at Powell’s Chapel Church with the Revs. Bill Partridge, Dennis Shadix and Jerry Freeman officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Bell Springs Cemetery.
Mrs. Cobb died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2006, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was a retired beautician in Hartselle after 30 years. She was a member of Powells Chapel Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest R. Cobb. The family would like to send special thanks to Summerford Nursing Home nurses and staff for the special care that was given to their mother.
She is survived by a son, Glenn Cobb and wife Glenda; a daughter, Jennifer Cobb Fox and husband Teddy; two brothers, John Powell and David Powell; three sisters, Jewell Ball, Dortha Shadix and Gracie Ethridge; a granddaughter, Sara Shannon and husband Chris; and three great-grandchildren, Lily Shannon, Rachel Shannon and Maddox Shannon.
Pallbearers were Dennis Shadix, Freddie Ball, Mike Campbell, Mark Powell, Earl Murphy and Alton Sullins.
