A family graveside service for Emma Duke Parker, 94, of Falkville will be Fri., Jan. 6, at 11 a.m. at Burningtree Memorial Gardens with Susan Parker and Pastor Michael Gunter officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Visitation will be Thur., Jan. 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Parker died Tues., Jan. 3, 2012, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born July 8, 1917, in Falkville to Charles Luther Duke and Lela Pinky Hendrix Duke. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Grady Parker and a son, Phillip Parker.

She is survived by a son, Paul Parker and wife Susan of Rogersville; two daughters, Margaret Olmstead and husband Clay of Austin, Tex. and Peggy Sivley and husband Milton of Decatur; a daughter-in-law, Mable Parker of Decatur; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to our local church or favorite charity.
