Sneed, Reynolds exchange vows
Amy Lee Sneed and Matt Garet Reynolds of Hartselle were wed Saturday, Dec. 18, 2004, at 6 p.m. at Hartselle Church of Christ with Mr. Phillip Hines officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Allen Sneed of Hartselle. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Talmage Roy Reynolds of Hartselle.
The church was decorated in evergreens and white roses.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a formal gown of ivory re-embroidered Alencon lace. The strapless gown was fashioned with a delicate sprinkle of crystal sequins over the vintage bridal lace.
A satin belt with a candy box bow graced the natural waistline. The full ball gown skirt swept to a grand Royal Cathedral train. Her bouquet featured white roses.
Madelen Raughton Salter of Jacksonville, Fla., cousin of the bride, Julie Lovett Sneed of Hartselle, sister-in-law of the bride, and Hope Hassa Sneed of Oxford, Miss., sister-in-law of the bride, were matrons of honor.
Bridal attendants were Sandra Reynolds Shaneyfelt of Hartselle, sister of the groom, Katie Hill of Hartselle, Mandi Lawrence of Decatur, Janice Norris Sims of Decatur, Emily Bryant of Birmingham, Ashley Floyd of Hartselle, Sarah Adair Fulghum of Birmingham, and Julia Kelley of Albertville.
Attendants wore strapless trumpet style dresses of claret colored European satin with a brooch embellishment at the train.
Sydney Sneed of Hartselle, niece of the bride, was flower girl. Hudson Sneed of Hartselle, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.
The groom's father was best man.
Groomsmen were Mark Reynolds of Hartselle, brother of the groom, J.C. Martin of Hartselle, Josh Newton of Hartselle, Wes Parker of Hartselle, Jake Phillips of Cullman, Colton Riley of Brentwood, Tenn., cousin of the groom, Brad Shaneyfelt of Hartselle, brother-in-law of the groom, Richard Sneed of Hartselle, brother of the bride, Dr. Allen Sneed of Oxford, Miss., brother of the bride, and David Sullivan of Hartselle.
Train bearers were Jake Sansom of Birmingham, cousin of the bride, and Clint Isom of Birmingham, cousin of the bride.
Memory candles were lighted by Natalie Isom Sansom of Birmingham, cousin of the bride, and Donny Raughton of Pell City, cousin of the bride.
A vocal ensemble provided music. A prayer was given by Daniel David Gaines and a scripture reading was given by Dr. Andrew Scott Dukes.
Heather McElligott of Daphne, Ashley Hudgins of Marietta, Ga., and Brooke Watford of Montgomery distributed programs.
Mrs. Donny Chittam was wedding director.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Burningtree Country Club.
The bride's table featured a five-tier white cake with a topper of white roses.
The groom's table featured a carrot cake with golf ball and club decorations.
Meredith Dandridge of Guntersville and Bethany Knox of Birmingham attended the bride's book.
Taylor Crippen of Olive Branch, Miss., Rachel Abraham of Southhaven, Miss., and J.C. Abraham of Southhaven, Miss., all cousins of the groom, were rice attendants.
The couple honeymooned in the Bahamas. They will reside in Birmingham.
A rehearsal dinner hosted by the groom's parents was held Dec. 17 at the Redstone Arsenal Officer's Club.

Alexander, Nickens wed Sept. 15
Cassie Michelle Alexander and Steven Chase Nickens of Hartselle were married Sept. 15, 2004, at 4 p.m., at the Huntsville Botanical Gardens with the Rev. Brent Colee officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Virginia and Mike Alexander of Hartselle. The groom is the son of Freda and Britt Nickens of Hartselle.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a ballroom style gown featuring a white satin top with hand-beaded trimming. The gown was tailored at the waist and extended to a full organza skirt and train. The hemline was trimmed with hand-beaded satin.
Music was provided by violinist Barbara Poularikas and cellist Veneta Billmayer of Madison.
A reception was held Sept. 16 at 1 p.m. in Murray Hall at the Huntsville Botanical Gardens.
The bride's table featured a red velvet cake with white icing and live red roses. The cake sat atop a white tablecloth and scattered red rose petals.
The groom's table featured a chocolate cake, which sat atop a brown tablecloth amidst white columns, candles and flowing ivy. Crystal Alexander, sister of the bride, and Brittany Sparkman, sister of the groom, assisted with the reception. The bride's sister also attended the bride's book.
Guests threw red rose petals.
The couple honeymooned in Gatlinburg, Tenn. A beach trip was postponed due to Hurricane Ivan. They reside in Decatur.

Thomas, Wintermantel to wed
Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Thomas of Alexander City announce the engagement of their daughter, Susan Ashley Thomas, to Richard Nicholas Wintermantel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Wintermantel of Birmingham, formerly of Hartselle.
The bride-elect is a magna cum laude graduate of Auburn University with a bachelor's of science degree in chemical engineering and earned a master's degree at The University of Alabama in 2004. She was a member of Alpha Delta Gamma social sorority, Cupola Engineering Society, Mortar Board and Phi Kappa Phi. She is employed with Southern Company Services of Birmingham. She is the granddaughter of Catherine Thomas of Sanford, N.C., the late Larry Thomas, and the late Mr. and Mrs. E.V. Cain.
The groom-elect is a summa cum laude graduate of The University of Alabama with a bachelor's of science degree in mechanical engineering. He was a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Pi Tau Sigma Honor Society, and worked with the cooperative program for four years.
He is employed with Southern Company Services of Birmingham. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Wintermantel of Springfield, Mo., Joe Thornhill of Mt. Vernon, Mo., and the late Lee Thornhill.
The wedding will be held March 13, 2005, at 2 p.m. at The Historic Donnelly House and Gardens in Birmingham.
