Bertha Preston Dobbins

A graveside service for Bertha Preston Dobbins, 80, of Hartselle was Friday, Jan. 16, at 2 p.m. at Salem Cemetery with the Revs. David Weaver and Johnny Clark officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Dobbins died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2004, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born Jan. 19, 1923, in Lawrence County to James Marion Preston and Lucy Panola Dutton Preston. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church and served on the administrative board for a number of years. She was retired as a bookkeeper from Tankersley's Service Station in Hartselle. Mrs. Dobbins was preceded in death by her husbands, Walter L. "Jake" Dobbins and John W. Campbell Jr.; and one son, Larry K. Campbell.
She is survived by one brother, Irvin Preston of Moulton.
Pallbearers were Frank Campbell, Bobby Garner, Kenneth Tankersley, Ronald Cole, Amon Curtis and Bob Miller.
