Funeral for Linnie Mae Burgess, 82, of Decatur was Sunday, July 20, at 2:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Edmondson and the Rev. Francis Proctor officiating.
Burial was in Andrew Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Burgess died Friday, July 18, 2003, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born July 22, 1920, in Morgan County to Columbus Legg and Florence Denton Legg.
She was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Leon Burgess.
She is survived by three sons, James Rhuel Burgess of Addison, Jackie Ray Burgess of Hartselle and Phillip Dwight Burgess of Somerville; one daughter, Dean Martin of Hartselle; one brother, Earl Legg of Massey; two sisters, Vicille Hill and Mary Dean Wiley, both of Danville; 17 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jeff Faulkner, Allon Burgess, Todd Burgess; Byron Faulkner; Johnnie Burgess and Heath Burgess.
