Ponytails win District I Championship; heading to state

The Hartselle American Ponytail All-Stars recently won the District I Championship in Muscle Shoals this past weekend.
The team will play in Montgomery Saturday for a shot at the Alabama State Championship.

A trio of Hartselle pitchers allowed just four hits, as Audrey McClanahan earned the win.
Anna Hall and Chandler Orr both scored twice, while Hayden Watts, Sara Long and Ashley White each plated once. Kimmie Minor had a RBI, and Raley Sittason added a hit.
Hartselle American 13 Muscle Shoals 0
Hartselle needed just five innings to blast Muscle Shoals.
Michel Fields and Ashley White combined to pitch a no hitter.
Anna Hall, Kelsey Starr, Audrey McClanahan, Chandler Orr and Michel Fields each scored twice, Kimmie Minor, Chelsea Maze and Raley Sittason scored once, and Sara Long added two RBIs.
Decatur National 2 Hartselle American 1
Decatur National scored a run in the bottom of the final inning to win the contest.
Anna Hall scored the only run for Hartselle.
Hartselle American 12 Decatur Continental 0
Hartselle bounced back with another shutout win.
Audrey McClanahan got the win and also scored a run.
Raley Sittason and Sara Lang both scored twice, while Anna Hall, Michel Fields, Kimmie Minor, Chandler Orr, Breanna Dean, Ashley White and Hayden Watts all scored once. Kelsey Starr added a RBI.
Hartselle American 8 Decatur National 0
Hartselle won the championship and avenged its only loss of the tournament by beating Decatur National.
Michel Fields earned the win, receiving relief help from Anna Hall, who struck out eight batters.
Audrey McClanahan and Anna Hall both scored twice, while Sarah Lang, Breanna Dean, Ashley White and Hayden Watts also scored.
