Eaton, Walters to wed Nov. 22
Mr. and Mrs. James D. Eaton of Sullivan, Mo., announce the engagement of their daughter, Addie Elizabeth Eaton, to Matthew Jason Walters, son of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Walters of Hartselle.
The bride-elect is a 1999 graduate of Sullivan High School and a 2002 graduate of Southwest Baptist University with a bachelor's degree in English and music. She is employed by the Home Builders Association of Greater Springfield, Mo., as an executive assistant.
The groom-elect is a 1997 graduate of Hartselle High School and a 2002 graduate of Southwest Baptist University with a bachelor's degree in physical education and health. He is employed by the Marion C. Early School District in Morrisville, Mo., as a teacher, head baseball coach, and assistant basketball coach.
The wedding will be held Nov. 22 at Temple Baptist Church in Sullivan, Mo.
McIntyre, Powell to wed June 7
Tim and Sandy McIntyre of Hartselle announce the engagement of their daughter, Shannon Nicole McIntyre, to John Michael Powell, son of Tom and Dolores Powell of Hartselle.
The bride-elect is a 2000 graduate of Hartselle High School and is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science at The University of Alabama in Huntsville. She is the granddaughter of Lloyd and Lois Oelke of Taveraus, Fla., the late Audrey Yeach of Hartselle, and the late Isiah McIntyre of Hyde Park, N.Y.
The groom-elect is a 1999 graduate of Hartselle High School and a 2003 graduate of Wallace State College with an associate's degree in computer networking.
He is the grandson of Bernice Kottka of Hartselle, the late Patricio and Maria Castillo of Harlingen, Texas, and the late T.H. and Gladys Powell of Hartselle.
The wedding will be held June 7 at the home of Tim and Sandy McIntyre.
Weddings
Bailey, Reeves wed March 8
Holly Bailey of Hartselle and Jeremy Dewayne Reeves of Hartselle were married March 8 at 6 p.m. at Danville Baptist Church.
Rev. Jack Bailey, father of the bride, officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter Jack and June Bailey of Hartselle. The groom is the son of Jerry and Shirley Reeves of Hartselle.
The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Joe David Bailey.
The church was decorated with blue hydrangeas and roses and a candelabra adorned with white tulle.
The bride wore a formal gown of white beaded silk organza over satin.
The halter neckline featured a deep V plunging neckline. The princess skirt swept into a chapel train and was embellished with scattered beading and crystals.
Her veil of imported French illusion was banded with organza and held by a matching bridal bandeau.
Her bouquet featured blue hydrangeas and purple and white roses.
Hannah Hardin of Hartselle was matron of honor.
Hope Garner of Hartselle was the bridesmaid.
Honorary bridesmaids were Carne Tidwell, Chanda Morgan, Casey Hogan, Lon Bailey, Tammy Taylor, and Amanda Barnett, all of Hartselle, and Kellye Templeton and Rebecca Deffenbaugh of Auburn.
Flower girls were Lara and Lexi Fagan, Sidney Reeves, and Molly Mayfield, all of Hartselle.
The bride's attendants wore sky blue satin skirts and tops and held bouquets of blue hydrangeas and purple and white roses.
Ring bearers were Seth Fagan, Blake Taylor, Walton Ferguson, and Riley Wood, all of Hartselle.
Jerry Reeves, father of the groom, was the best man.
Tim Reeves of Hartselle was the groomsman.
Ushers were Joe David Bailey, Craig Riddle and Shannon Ferguson, all of Hartselle. Erik Wray of Decatur was an usher and candlelighter.
Music was provided by Linda Glenn of Danville, Will Morgan of Hartselle, Heather Smith of Athens, and Whitney McClung of Decatur.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the church.
The bride's table featured a white square cake topped with blue hydrangeas.
The groom's table was decorated in camouflage and featured cheesecake with an assortment of toppings.
Beth Pressnell, Amy Earnett, Megan Deffenbaugh, Jessica Evans, Katie Matthews, Lesly West, Donna Bomar, and Myra Mayfield assisted with the reception.
Anna Cole of Danville tended the bride's book.
The couple honeymooned in Mexico. They will reside in Hartselle.
The couple was honored with several pre-nuptial events, including:
Gilstrap, Sprague wed May 3
Billye Rene Gilstrap of Mobile and Robert Patrick Sprague of Mobile were married May 3 at 7 p.m. in Mobile.
Rev. Harlon Hood and Rev. Eddie Gilstrap officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Gilstrap, Jr. of Hartselle. The groom is the son of Dr. Judith Sprague of Madison, Conn., and Dr. Donald Sprague of Clear Lake Shores, Texas.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
The candlelight ceremony was held outdoors.
The bride wore her mother's 30-year-old wedding dress featuring a cathedral length train. Her veil was also cathedral length. Her bouquet featured calla lilies and caspia.
Cassidy Blackman of Hartselle was maid of honor.
Danielle Henderson of Hampton, Ga., and Sarah Hastings of Charlotte, N.C., were flower girls.
The bride's attendant wore strapless, lavender A-line gowns.
Luke Southerland of Hartselle was ring bearer.
Bob Suzio of Denver, Colo., was the best man.
Brendan Sprague of Madison, Conn., was a groomsman.
Ushers were Walton Gilstrap of Hartselle, Patrick Goff of Mobile, and Fernando Rodrigues of Mobile.
Music was provided by Hannah Gilstrap of Hartselle and Danny Henderson of Hampton, Ga.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Magnolia Manor in Mobile.
The bride's table held a three-tiered square cake featuring white lilies on the top layer.
The groom's table held a golf bag shaped cake with chocolate carved golf clubs.
Wedding coordinator was Mary Jo Zoghby.
Laci Southerland of Hartselle attended the bride's book.
Alexis Blackman of Hartselle distributed wedding favors.
The couple honeymooned in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. They will reside in Mobile.
