Hartselle falls short in Bob Jones Tournament

The Hartselle Lady Tigers fell short in the Bob Jones Tournament, but considering the competition, no worries for the girls in red and white.
Hartselle lost to Soddy Daisy (Tenn.) 5-1 in game four of bracket play.
Hartselle did beat Tennessee's No. 1 ranked team in Class A, David Lipscomb, 3-2 in 12 innings and Good Pasture, Tennessee's No. 2 ranked team in Class A.

Regan Sandlin provided the heroics, much like a senior should.
Sandlin's two-RBI double in the 12th inning gave Hartselle the win.
It was Sandlin's only hit of the game, as Lipscomb struck out 17 Lady Tigers.
Sabrina Roberts went all 12 innings, giving up just two runs on two hits and striking out nine.
Hartselle led 1-0 before Lipscomb tied the contest at 1-all in the sixth. Lipscomb took a 2-1 lead in the top of the 12th.

J.J. Lawrimore allowed two runs, one earned, on two hits in the loss. She struck out four.
She went 2 for 3 at the plate, while Robin Halbrooks went 1 for 3 with an RBI.

Game 1 (Bracket play)
J.J. Lawrimore bounced back with a seven strike out performance in the next game. She allowed just one run on three hits in the complete game effort.
At the plate, Alison Lyle went 3 for 3 with a run scored and two RBIs. Ashley Jackson went 2 for 3 with a pair of runs scored and Sabrina Roberts went 2 for 2.
Hartselle 7, Good Pasture 5
Game 2 (Bracket play)
Alison Lyle went 2 for 3 with three RBIs to help the Lady Tigers to a win.
Good Pasture led 2-1 heading into the final inning. In the seventh, Hartselle scored six runs, while limiting Good Pasture to three in the bottom of the frame for the win.
Sabrina Roberts earned the win. She gave up five runs on 11 hits and struck out five.
Both Jessica Lyle and Roberts notched RBIs.

Hartselle finally ran out of gas.
The Lady Tigers fell to Soddy Daisy after allowing four runs in the top of the 11th inning.
The game was scoreless heading into the ninth when both teams plated one run each. That score remained until the 11th.
Jessica Lyle suffered the loss.
