Funeral for J. L. Pike, 81, of Eva will be Mon., Sept. 14, at 1 p.m. at Oden Ridge Baptist Church with Bro. Josh Sparkman officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. The body will lie in state for one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will be in Lawrence Cove Cemetery. Visitation will be Sun., Sept. 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Pike died Thur., Sept. 10, 2015, at his residence. He was born April 30, 1934, in Morgan County to William Acie Pike and Maggie Turner Pike. He was employed, before his retirement, by Franklin Hills Country Club for course maintenance.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann Pike of Eva; two sons, J.L. Pike, Jr. (Connie) of Falkville and Luke Pike (Debbie) of Hazel Green; two daughters, Cindy Lou Peck (Joe) of Waterford, Mich., and Sabrina Euto (Daniel) of Somerville; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Pike, Jason Pike, Jamie Pike, Joe Peck, Terry Kelsey and Jerimy Kelsey.
