McAllisters mark 50th anniversary
S.M. "Mac" and Jeanette McAllister, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Feb. 14, 2003 – Valentine's Day. They were honored at a Valentine's Dinner at David's Catfish Restaurant by friends from Bethel Baptist Church, where they faithfully attend.
The McAllisters were married at North Central Baptist Church in Gainesville, Fla. on Feb. 14, 1953. They have resided in the Moss Chapel community since 1970 and have lived in northern Alabama in 1957. S.M. "Mac" McAllister was the manager of the Goodyear Service Store in Hartselle from 1970 to 1975 and retired from Goodyear's downtown Huntsville store in 1981. Jeanette retired from Sears as an audit clerk in 1997. They have two sons, Bruce McAllister of Greenville, S.C. and Dale McAllister of Hamilton, Ohio. They have six grandchildren.
