Funeral for Pearl Bennett, 84, of Falkville was Sun., Oct. 24, at 2 p.m. at Unity Freewill Baptist Church with Robert Morgan, Jeff Bennett, Wendell Bennett and Truman Shaddrix officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Union Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Bennett died Thur., Oct. 21, 2010, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She ws born Jan. 1, 1926, in Morgan County to Robert C. Haynie and Evelyn Pearl Ray Haynie. She was a loving wife of the late Royce Bennett for 58 years, a loving Ma Ma to four children and a Granny Ma-Maw to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to laugh, loved people and family time and loved to cook and have everyone come to her house to eat. She loved God, her church and time of worship with all her brothers and sisters in Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and a sister, Marquerite Dunlap.
She is survived by three sons, Garland Bennett, Jeff Bennett and wife Jennifer and Wendell Bennett and wife Rita, all of Eva; a daughter, Martha Buckelew and husband Roger of Eva; seven grandchildren, Ethan and Hollie Bennett, Joshua and wife Cassy Bennett, Jessica and husband Jordan Wilson, Christopher and Todd Bennett and Amy and husband Jimmy Cockrell; three great-grandchildren, Ozlynn Bennett, Rusty and Nichole Cockrell.
Pallbearers were Bill Brown, Kenneth Martin, Keith Bowen, Roger Buckelew, Jimmy Cockrell and Frankie Brindley.
