Funeral for Albert R. Lowery, 75, of Hartselle was Sunday, Aug. 22, at 4 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. David Gamble and Dr. T. Reynolds Hall officiating and Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home directing.
A graveside service was Wednesday, Aug. 25, at 12 noon at Hillview Memorial Gardens in Waterview, MI. with Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Lowery died Friday, Aug. 20, 2010, at his residence. He was born Sept. 23, 1934, in Yancey County, SC. to Joseph Dewey Lowery and Lillie Bertie Willis Lowery.  He was a long-time member and deacon of Bethel Baptist Church in Hartselle and Dixie Baptist Church in Clarkston, MI. and was retired from General Motors after 35 and 1/2 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Lowery and a son, Delbert Wesley Lowery,
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Lowery of Hartselle; three sons, Albert Daniel Lowery and wife Teri of Holly, MI., Joseph Grant Lowery and wife Tammy of Clairmont, GA and Lewis Wayne Lowery and wife Sherry of Boise, ID; two daughters, Margaret Faye Escamilla and husband Bob of Holly, MI and Ruth Ann Clark and husband Tony of Summertown, TN; two brothers,  Robert Lowery and wife Bev of Greenville, TN and Gene Lowery and wife Salley of Pontiac. MI; four sisters, Eula Swafford of Marion, NC, Ola Faye Hennessee of Drextel, NC, Lillian Kincaid of Lenoir, NC. and Lois Jenson and husband Ted of Astatula, FL;
Pallbearers were Lewis Lowery Jr., William Daniel Lowery, Steven Daniel Lowery, Joey Lowery, Mike Escamilla, Chris Escamilla and Jesse Escamilla.
Honorary pallbearers were ushers and deacons of Bethel Baptist Church, Matthew Clark and Brody Clark.
