A memorial service for Charles J. Wright, 73, of Falkville was Saturday, April 4 at 2:30 p.m. at his residence with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Wright died Wednesday, April 1, 2009, at his residence. He was born August 17, 1935, in Tennessee to Clarence Wright and Emma Patterson Wright. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and retired from Navistar in San Diego, Calif. as a supervisor in material control. He was a member of the American Legion and a member of the American Products and Inventory Control Society. He was also retired from Fruefauf Trailer Company. He will be missed by his companions, Lucky, Peanut, Socks and Samson. Thanks to Wiregrass Hospice of Cullman, Dr. Charles Prickett, C.I.C.U. at Decatur General Hospital and to his sitter, Tammy Hughes. Also, a special thanks to two special people, Jimmy and Kathy Gray. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jimmy Wright.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Ann Knox Wright of Falkville; four sons, Charles Lynn Wright and Gregory Eugene Wright, both of San Diego, Calif., Rodney Johnson of Falkville and Stephen Johnson and wife Cheryl of Hartselle; a brother, Jerry Wright and wife Darlene of Hartselle; a step-brother, James Hayes and wife Pat of Hartselle; a sister, Joyce Brewer of Decatur; a step-sister, Brenda Johnson of Union Hill; five grandchildren; and an aunt, Mary Morris of Florence.
Memorials may be made to his caregiver, Betty Ann Wright.
