“From Paris, in Love

By Elodie Colliard

Recently divorced Riley Fletcher is ready to take her natural talent for public relations and create her own PR company. To get the company started, she reaches out to her previous co-worker Miles Clark and asks him to be her co-CEO. Miles is thrilled to work with Riley and start their own company. Especially after his own divorce and his sister moving away. They spend months starting the company and going through their no-compete clauses. Their first major client, a wine and spirits company, offers them an all-expense paid trip to Paris for the International Wine Festival. Miles and Riley would accompany the CEO as he meets with winery owners and come up with potential ad campaigns if the company decides to expand overseas. Going on this trip requires many things from Riley and Miles. First, they would be leaving their new company without its leaders on hand for several weeks. Two, Riley and Miles will be spending a lot of time together without their other employees as buffers. Three, they both fell in love with each other while creating their company and haven’t admitted it to themselves or each other. Four, Riley’s ex-husband is vindictive and will stop at nothing to sabotage Riley and her company.

This book is the second standalone in the “It’s Always Been You” series from Elodie Colliard. It’s a contemporary romance that perfectly blends the tropes of workplace romance and best friend romance. You can find this book in the library.

“Throne of the Fallen”

By Kerri Maniscalco

In this standalone adult novel set within the “Kingdom of Wicked” world, the Prince of Envy is ready to play the deadliest game of his life. The Unseelie King is ready to let Envy try to win a stolen object back. He will stop at nothing to win. No number of tricks, riddles, Fae or vampires can stop him. Because if he loses, his entire court will be left in ruin and ready for any other in the Underworld to take. Miss Camilla Antonius is one of the few spinsters living in Waverly Green. Unlike the others, Camilla is a sought-after painter and owns a well-known gallery. However, one of the worst occupants of Waverly Green starts blackmailing her. This blackmail pushes her right into Envy’s arms and makes her a player in the game. For one of them to win, they must enter a devil’s bargain. Their bargain pairs them together for the rest of the game.

This novel is perfect for readers who love fantasy, dark romance and puzzle mysteries. Each new clue in the game creates more questions. You can find this book in the library.
