Books of the Week July 12

“Exes & O’s”

By Amy Lea

The second book in the Influencer series, Exes & O’s follows Tara, (Crystal’s sister from Set on You) as she navigates her new normal. She has moved in with her soon-to-be brother-in-law’s firefighting BFF. Tara is the biggest romance novel fan around. Just check out her Insta to see. Tara is trying to find love and in time for her most favorite holiday, Valentine’s Day. But, she is discouraged by her choices. So, Tara is tracking down previous loves to try and give them another chance. Tara makes a list and virtually stalks every past love in order to see which one will rekindle any flames. However, each one is a total dud. As she embarks on this venture, Tara drags her new friend/roommate, Trevor along with her. As the two roommates spend more and more time together, they both are starting to have feelings they probably shouldn’t.

This close proximity/roommate trope is sizzling from start to finish. Tara and Trevor are total opposites and yet they bring out the best in each other. If you enjoyed Set on You, then you’ll like this one too. It’s a perfect rom-com for Valentine’s Day. You can stop by the library to read it.
