Danville high, middle schools hold talent show

Danville high and middle schools recently held their talent show. Congratulations goes out to the winners Aaliyah Douglas, first place, Kayleigh Springer, second place, Alivia Wiley, third place and Jack Turner and the People’s Choice Winner was Brayden Schrimsher.

Danville High School February students of the month and they are freshman Garrett Schrimsher, sophomore Alexia Lindsey, junior Jacob Russell and senior Wyatt Lindsey. Danville High School students collected more than 3,000 items for the Barrels of Love food drive. A group of Danville High School Honor Society members also volunteered at the Barrels of Love food drive collection day at Ingalls Harbor.

Town of Falkville expresses their appreciation to the Falkville Fire and Rescue Department. Volunteers received 74 calls of service. Including 36-EMS, 15-MVC, 4-Residential Fires, 1-Brush Fire Alarm, 1-Other, mutual aid responses, 10-EMS10, 3-MVC, 2-Residential Fire. In addition to responding to calls, the department also conducted a Firefighter II class. They also assisted in providing medical standby at Night to Shine at Fairview Church of God.

A huge congratulations goes out to the Falkville High School FFA Livestock Team for winning the senior placings – the only division at the Judge Me Livestock contest recently. The team members are Greyson Scronce, Rachel Smith, Avery Bramlett, Meggie Bramlett and Cedric Beavers. Cedric was the individual high scorer of the entire contest.
