Regular seasons come to a close for area boys basketball

Friday
Arab 50, Brewer 48
The Brewer Patriots closed out their regular season with a 50-48 loss on the road at Arab. The Patriots trailed 30-20 at halftime.

Austyn Holmes finished with 15 points to lead Brewer (12-15). Mac Shadden had 13 points.

Will Cavender led Arab with 18 points and Jonathon England had 11.

Thursday
Priceville 56, Madison County 51
The Bulldogs celebrated Senior Night with a come-from-behind 56-51 win over Madison County. The visiting Tigers led 19-8 after the first quarter and 27-25 at halftime.

Sammy Holmes finished with 17 points to lead Priceville (13-13). Cole Lindeman had 14 points, five rebounds and five assists, while Luke Hood added 11 points and four assists.

Vinemont 58, Falkville 35
The Blue Devils closed out the regular season with a 58-35 loss to Vinemont. Falkville trailed 26-12 at the half.

Dawson Fowler scored nine points to lead Falkville, while Cayden Butler had eight.

Danville 61, East Lawrence 44
Danville broke open a tight game at halftime by outscoring East Lawrence 21-10 in the third quarter on the way to a 61-44 win. The Hawks led 24-22 at the half and 45-32 heading into the fourth quarter.

AJ Holladay finished with 21 points to lead Danville. Huntley Segars added 11 points, while Joseph Smith scored 10.

Tuesday
Hatton 70, Danville 67
Danville succumbed to a Hatton fourth-quarter rally in their 70-67 loss to the Hornets. The Hawks led 18-13 after the first quarter and 35-30 at halftime. They led 53-48 heading into the fourth quarter.

AJ Holladay finished with 18 points to lead Danville. Gage Taylor added 12 points, while Huntley Segars had 11.

Kahne Little finished with 27 points to lead Hatton.

Deshler 65, Priceville 35
The host Tigers jumped out to a 26-5 first-quarter lead and cruised to a 65-35 win over Priceville (13-13).

Tyler Case scored 13 points to lead Priceville.

Brewer 66, Ardmore 29
Brewer used a monster first half in their 66-29 win over Ardmore. The Patriots led 17-5 after the first quarter and 44-13 at the half.

Kade George finished with 21 points and 10 rebounds to lead Brewer. Garret Clemons added 18 points, while Austyn Holmes and MAc Shadden each had eight.

Monday
Brewer 64, Lawrence County 56
Brewer secured the two seed in the upcoming 5A Area 15 tournament with a 64-56 win over Lawrence County. The Patriots led 33-31 at the half.

Mac Shadden finished with a double-double, 23 points and 10 rebounds to lead Brewer. Austyn Holmes scored 19 points, while Jackson Dunn added 14 points.

Kade White scored 15 points to lead Lawrence County. Conner Southern added 12 points, while Wiley Bowling added 10.

Meek 63, Falkville 49
The Blue Devils fell to Meek 63-49. They trailed 34-21 at the half.

Dawson Fowler scored 14 points to lead Falkville, while Isaiah Warnick added 12 points.

Jarrett Benson scored 22 points to lead Meek and Braylen Roberts had 13.

Fairview 66, Priceville 53
The Bulldogs dropped a road game at Fairview 66-53. Priceville led 18-13 after the first but trailed 31-25 at the half.

Jake Langlois finished with 16 points and six rebounds to lead Priceville (12-12). Cole Lindeman added 12 points.
