Priceville cross country sweeps Tennessee River Classic

The Priceville boys and girls cross country teams continued their hot start to the season by sweeping the Tennessee River Classic hosted by Brooks High School.

The girls finished first for the first time in school history as they defeated 34 teams in the 1A-4A division, including the preseason no. 3 and no. 5 teams in the state.

Anna Katherine Hopkins finished first, with Elizabeth Cain taking second. Both girls broke the school record. Mae Vick finished 12th for the Lady Bulldogs. Also scoring points for Priceville were Aubrey Weddington and Kaitlyn Taylor.

The boys finished first for the second consecutive week in the 1A-4A division. Adam Taylor finished second, Maclain Lawson finished sixth, and Luke Hood finished 15th. Hayden Denson and Preston Wilson also scored points for the Bulldogs.
