Morgan extension offers fall classes, workshops

Morgan County Extension will offer a food preservation and canning workshop Sept. 19 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. The class is open to people 16 years old and older. Anyone interested in attending the class can contact the Morgan County Extension Office at 256-773-2549 to register.  The workshop will be led by Regional Extension agent Susan Hill. Morgan County 4H quilting classes Anyone interested in making quilts are welcome to join the ladies from the quilting group in Morgan County. The class will meet from 6-8 p.m. at the Morgan County Extension Office on the following dates: Sept. 13, Sept. 20, Sept. 27, Oct. 4, Oct. 18 and Oct. 25. The fee will be $20 and the class is open to anyone age 16 and older. For more information or to register for the class, please contact Janet Suggs at 334-740-8497 .  

Town of Falkville activities Congratulations to the Town of Falkville for being ranked in the Top Ten places to retire in Alabama. The Town of Falkville placed number 8. According to the 2020 Census, population for Falkville is 1,382.  

Congratulations to  Homemade by Lala, on their ceremonial opening this month. The bakery is located at 4697 Highway 31 in Falkville.
