Falkville Blue Devils finish week with 3-0 record

The Falkville Blue Devils picked up wins over Vinemont, JB Pennington and Sumiton Christian to remain undefeated to start the season.

Falkville 60, Vinemont 59

Colton Hooper nailed a three-pointer with 2.5 seconds remaining to give the Blue Devils a 60-59 win over Vinemont Tuesday.

Avery Miller finished with a double-double, 18 points and 12 rebounds to lead Falkville. Dawson Norwood added 13. Camden Reid had eight points and six assists.

Falkville 78, JB Pennington 66

Falkville outscored Pennington 19-4 in the third quarter to extend a five-point halftime lead to 20 headed to the fourth quarter, and the Blue Devils held on for the eight-point victory.

Norwood finished with 21 points to lead the Blue Devils. Miller added 12 points and seven rebounds, while Joshua Bradford had 12 points.

Falkville 59, Sumiton Christian 28

Falkville jumped out to a 15-3 first-quarter lead and never looked back on the way to the 59-28 win.

The Blue Devils (5-0) were led by Norwood, who had 18 points. Hooper added eight, while Camden Reid and Bradford each had seven.

East Limestone 58, Priceville 56

The Bulldogs opened the season with a two-point loss to East Limestone. Priceville had the lead going into the fourth but saw the Indians come from behind to grab the 58-56 win.

The Bulldogs were led by Cole Lindeman, who finished with 13 points and seven rebounds. Sammy Holmes added 12 points, and Chris Thomas had 10 points and five rebounds.

The Indians were led by Kenneth Timmons’ 20 points and Jacob Estick’s 17 points.

Priceville 68, Brewer 46

Lindeman scored 15 of his game-high 34 points in the fourth quarter to help the Bulldogs overcome Brewer’s 11-0 run to start the final quarter.

Josh Greenhill had seven points for the Bulldogs (1-1), while Elijah Hopkins added six.

Russell Mahan’s 14 points led the Patriots (1-3). Tamarion Watkins added 12 points and six rebounds.

Priceville 66, Rogers 33

Priceville opened the Marx Optical Thanksgiving Tournament with a 30-point victory over Rogers.

The Bulldogs (2-1) were led by Lindeman, who had 17 points. Caleb Pedings added 10 points. Jake Langlois had eight rebounds.

Malachi Davis led Rogers with 17 points.

Danville 64, Hatton 38

The Hawks went on the road to grab their second win with a 64-38 win over the Hornets.

Kohl Randolph led Danville (2-0) with 20 points. Witten Morgan added 14, and Landon Freeman had 11.

West Morgan 64, Danville 33

Danville (2-1) dropped their first game of the season in a 64-33 loss to West Morgan. Randolph had 10 points for the Hawks, while Morgan added eight.

Dylann Ward had 17 points to lead the Rebels. Carson Muse had 13 points for the Rebels, while Jalen Fletcher added 10.

West Morgan 65, Brewer 31

Tamarion Watkins had 11 points and four rebounds to lead Brewer (1-2) in their 65-31 loss to West Morgan.

Ward led the Rebels with 13 points. Jordan Johnson and Muse each had 10 points.

East Limestone 64, Brewer 42

Brewer opened the Marx Optical Thanksgiving Tournament with a 62-42 loss to East Limestone.

Watkins had 18 points to lead the Patriots (1-4). Hunter Lawrence had nine points and six rebounds. Kade George had five points and six rebounds, while Mac Shadden had four points and a team-high nine rebounds.
