Craving sunshine and fresh air? Love the taste of juicy, ripe fruit? Looking for a cool spot to visit? Look no further than the Step Out Agriventure Trail of Morgan County.  

This trail will route patrons to the freshest fruits and vegetables the county has to offer. The trail is all about connecting Morgan County residents and visitors with local foods, local growers and makers and local adventures. Every spot on this trail is either locally owned or operated. 

The trail is a year-round shopping and outdoor fun experience for all ages. People can leave their busy schedules and enjoy shopping Morgan County products – tea, farm–raised beef, strawberries, peaches, blueberries, a variety of farm–raised vegetables, homemade pies, jams and jellies, ice cream, meals, sandwiches and more.  

People who prefer gluten free, sugar free, ketogenic and diabetic friendly baked goods will also find selections on the Trail. 

The trail also highlights the broad range of outdoor activities around the county, from bird watching or canoeing to zip lines, obstacle courses and scenic runs or drives across the countryside. 

The trail features more than 10 businesses across Morgan County convenient to locals as well as travelers from across the state. 

Current detours 

For traffic going east on Highway 36 from Interstate 65 at exit 328, the Highway 36 detour does not obstruct the route to Reeves’ Peach Farm or Fagerman Farm.  Reeves Peach Farm is one mile from I-65, and patrons can freely go to and from Reeves’ Peach Farm straight from the interstate at exit 328.  Fagerman Farm is past Reeves Peach Farm but before the detour. 

Traffic going west on Highway 36 from Highway 231, the Highway 36 detour does not obstruct the route to Graves Grocery or Pendley Farms. Both locations are located before the detour, and patrons can freely go to and from both venues straight from Highway 231. 

The trail is sponsored by Morgan County Celebration Arena, Muscle Shoals National Heritage Area, Alabama Cooperative Extension System, Morgan County Farmers Federation, Manna House Hydroponic Gardens and RE/MAX of Decatur/Priceville.
