There is something so special about spring. March is here, and with it comes warmer weather, more daylight hours, blooming buds, green grass, buzzing bees and so much excitement.
It’s as if the earth is waking from a long winter’s rest.
We can finally cut off the heaters and open our windows for some cool fresh air, warmed slightly by the sun. Just like the daffodils and tulips popping up in our gardens to enjoy the sunlight, the people of Hartselle are out and about enjoying the lovely weather in our great town.
Downtown Hartselle especially has been bustling this spring. Families are out shopping, eating, playing at our downtown pocket park, getting coffee, walking their dogs in E.A.R.T.H. park, and so much more.
It’s so nice to see our community coming out to enjoy this historic downtown.
Meanwhile, gardeners and farmers are busy preparing for the growing season. Anticipation of our downtown farmers market is growing as well.
As the manager, I’ve received numerous calls from excited growers and bakers, and I’ve been stopped many times by customers asking when the market will open.
Our May opening is a few months away, but all the buzz about fresh produce and flowers means the 2021 market season is going to be great.
So be sure to add “shopping at the Saturday farmers market” to your list of things to do in downtown starting this May!
