Welcome back to the William Bradford Huie Library of Hartselle! We reopened June 1 after having been closed because of COVID-19 for two and a half months. Are things different? Yes. Do we have new procedures? Yes. Have we reduced our hours? Temporarily, yes. Are we thankful to be open? Absolutely! Although we still cannot have programs like story times or craft times, our other services are available. We have books, audiobooks and DVDs available for checkout, and curbside pickup is also available.

Although our book supplier has been a little slower on delivery because of the pandemic, we are adding new books and new audiobooks to our collection at least twice a month. We also take requests from patrons for new books and new authors. Our public computers are open, and printing and photocopying are available for 15 cents per copy. Library cards are available free of charge for Morgan County residents with proof of current address or people who work in Morgan County. We also have free Wi-Fi and e-books. Starting in November we will have a monthly craft for adults, teens and children. These crafts will include materials and directions. Patrons are encouraged to pick one up to take home. The first one will be available starting Nov. 18, just in time for the holidays. Although our world has changed because of COVID-19, your public library is still here and working to serve our community. We hope to see you soon at the library!
