Falkville spotlights Dawn Estes

Dawn Estes has been an employee with the Town of Falkville for more than 18 years and has held numerous positions during her career with the town.

Dawn was the town librarian from 2001-2007 and the Municipal Court magistrate from 2007-2010, and since November 2010 she has filled the position of town clerk/court clerk/treasurer. She is always willing to listen and offer help to any citizen, whatever their problem or concern.
Dawn has been married to Neil Estes for 31 years. They have three grown children, Lauren, Natalee and Aaron, and attend Fairview The Grace Place Church.

Falkville Volunteer Fire Department receives award

The Falkville Volunteer Fire Department received the Morgan County Association of Volunteer Fire Departments Department of the Year Award at the recent awards banquet. Falkville Fire Chief Tyler Tucker was awarded the Chief of the Year Award by the Association. The Town of Falkville congratulates the fire department on receiving these honors and thanks the department for service to the citizens of Falkville.

 Falkville Public Library Announcement

According to Falkville librarian Jenny Asherbranner, the Falkville Public Library will be closed to inside activities. Jenny will be delivering books to those interested curbside until such time the library can admit patrons. When the library reopens, it will offer DVDs for $2 each and bagged books for $5 each for sale. The computer and juvenile fiction rooms will have a new look once the doors are open, too!

Carpenter’s Cabinet Announcement

The Carpenter’s Cabinet will be open Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to meet any food needs.
The Falkville mayor, town council and town employees will be available for anyone who needs them during this difficult time. Please call them if you have any questions or concerns.
