Memory Stockton Smith

Funeral service for Memory Stockton Smith, 65, was Sept. 14 at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ralph Henderson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Smith died Sept. 8 at Lawrence County Medical Center. She was born Nov. 5, 1953, in Morgan County to Walter Stockton and Marie Patterson Stockton. She was a retired United States postal worker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James “Jimmy” Smith, her parents, one brother, Kenneth W. Stockton, and one sister, Linda S. Boyer.
Survivors include one daughter, Rachael Stephenson (Jeremy); two grandchildren, William Tobias Bates and Elora Annaleise Powell; and one sister, Mary Beth Stockton.
Lillian Owens Roberts
Hartselle
A memorial service for Lillian Owens Roberts, 76, was held Sept. 15 from 2-5 p.m. at the home of Vivian Fawbush.
Mrs. Roberts died Sept. 12 at her residence. She was born Feb. 9, 1943, in Etowah County to Lillian Austelle Owens and Dessie Bell Isbell Owens. She was an executive assistant for NASA prior to her retirement.
She enjoyed spending time watching old movies and enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren play sports. She was a member of the church of Christ.
Preceding her in death were her husband of 54 years, Hoyt Ray Roberts, her parents and two sisters, Jean Owens Wiley and Gladys Owens Wiley.
Survivors include one son, Jeffrey Hoyt Roberts; one daughter, Susan Roberts Curnel (Stan); three sisters, Mavis Snell, Myra Vinzant and Vivan Fawbush (Rick); four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Anthony Todd Holtzclaw

A memorial visitation for Anthony Todd Holtzclaw, 43, was held Sept. 16 from 6-8 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home.
Mr. Holtzclaw died Sept. 12. He was born Sept. 17, 1975, in Morgan County to Henry Kenneth Holtzclaw and Lily Charlene Askenburg Holtzclaw. He was a self-employed painter.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include one son, Tyler Hall; two daughters, Ashlyn Hale and Lily Grace Raney; one brother, Jason Askenburg; and one grandchild, Adeline Rose Hall.
Charles “Chuck” Mauldin
Funeral service for Charles “Chuck” Mauldin, 77, was held Sept. 17 at 6 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ralph Henderson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Mauldin died Sept. 13 at his residence. He was born Oct. 29, 1941, in Alcorn County, Miss.,, to Johnny Mauldin and Jessie Hastings Mauldin. He was employed as a chemical operator for 3M Chemical Company prior to his retirement.
He enjoyed traveling, his classic cars and motorcycles. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Mauldin; one son, David Adam Glover (Tina); one stepdaughter, Elizabeth Ann Glaze (Tyler); one brother, Wayne Mauldin; and four grandchildren, Amelia Glaze, Lucas Glaze, Zachary Glaze and Raedyn Glover.
