Fairview–The Grace Place plans fundraiser yard sale

Fairview–The Grace Place will hold a fundraiser yard sale Sept. 20-21. The sale will be held from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Summerford Barn, located on Highway 55, just off Highway 31 in Falkville. 

Donations can be dropped off in the gym; clothes are not being accepted for the sale.  

All of the proceeds will go directly to upgrading equipment and storage in the children’s wing. All support will be greatly appreciated.

Sept. 28 a Beth Moore “Living Proof” simulcast will be held at Fairview–The Grace Place at 7 a.m. and at 4:15 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend. 

Sept. 29 a family game night will be held at 6 p.m. at Fairview–The Grace Place. 

Round Top Community Church to host Singspiration

The members of Round Top Community Church will host the fifth Sunday Singspiration for South Morgan churches Sept. 29 at 6 p.m. Church choirs, trios, quartets and solo music numbers will be presented during the singspiration. 

Round Top Church music director Spencer Johnson will be in charge of the activities.

Refreshments will be served afterward in the family life center.

Round Top Community Church youth will be in charge of the Sunday morning worship service Sept. 29. The youth directors are Jack and Allison Albert. Everyone is invited to attend the service.

Victory Fellowship Church Events

Aug. 18 the Rev. David Carroll , pastor at Victory Fellowship Church in Falkville, was honored with a 50th anniversary service during the morning worship hour, and a fellowship lunch was given for him.  

Brother David has served several congregations and has been blessed many times over during his 50 years in the ministry. He is from the Holly Pond area. 

Victory Fellowship Church was also celebrating 32 years of Christian service.

Falkville United Methodist Church Activities

The youth at Falkville United Methodist Church met Aug. 28 with counselors Susan Smith and Dan and Debbie Higginbotham. The 6 p.m. meeting included pizza, their program presented by Dan Higginbotham and recreation in the fellowship hall. 

Corinth West Baptist Church News

Jessie Emerson presided at the women’s group meeting Sept. 1 at Corinth West Baptist Church. The 10 a.m. event was the first of the new church year. 

The devotional was given by GayNell Wilhite, and the title was, “A New Beginning.” Dawn Shedd led the prayers for those requested. 

During the business session of the meeting, the menu was planned for the Senior Citizens day. Plans were also discussed for the October senior citizens day.  

Special Labor Day activities included barbecue prepared by the Rev. Glenn Miller at Corinth West Baptist Church. Those attending enjoyed the good food, games and fellowship.
