Funeral for Robin Halbrooks Riley, 30, was Tues., Aug. 4, at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Bro. Ben Bates and Bro. Mac Larkin officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Bethlehem Cemetery.
Mrs. Riley died Sat., Aug. 1, 2015, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born March 27, 1985, in Decatur. She was a 2003 graduate of Hartselle High School and received her master’s degree in special education from the University of West Alabama. She was a member of the Hartselle High School softball state championship teams in her freshman, junior and senior years, and was an assistant coach on the 2014 state championship softball team and the 2012 state championship volleyball team. She was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. She worked during high school at Hometown Grocery, was currently employed as a special education teacher at Hartselle Junior High School and also was an assistant softball and volleyball coach. She was all about family and friends. She was a loving wife, daughter, mother and friend.
She is survived by her husband, Joey Riley of Hartselle; two sons, Trey Riley and Justice Riley, both of Hartselle; a daughter, Madison Riley of Hartselle; her parents, Bobby and Brenda Nelson Halbrooks of Hartselle; her grandmother, Viola Nave of Hartselle; and a host of extended family and friends.
Pallbearers were D.P. Peppers, Byron Carroll, Nathan Kimbrel, Jeremy Brewer, Jason Puckett, Nathan Steele and Wayne Stinson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to FACES of North Alabama.
