Falkville summer reading kickoff makes an impression

The Falkville Public Library held its “Fizz! Boom! Read!” summer reading kickoff Thurs., July 3. About 25 students listened to stories, made playdough out of cornstarch and conditioner and had snacks.

The program will continue every Thursday at 2 p.m. during the month of July. Each session will feature special guests, science experiments and reading prizes. For more information, call 256-784-5822.
