Three others named to All-State, one honorable mention

Three members of Hartselle’s 2014 5A State Championship softball team were named to this year’s Alabama Sports Writers Association All-State team.

These players included junior pitcher Jada Hayes, junior catcher Taylor Wascavage and sophomore utility player Hope Cain.

Hayes was named 5A Pitcher of the Year as well as 5A Player of the Year. Head Coach Christy Ferguson was named 5A Coach of the Year.

From Falkville, Alexis Casteel was named to the Class 1A All-State Team and Lyndsey Moore was named honorable mention.
