Falkville takes 5th, 6th at Cullman Classic

The Falkville girls and boys track teams each finished with 113 points after the rescheduled Cullman Classic meet on Monday.

The girls finished fifth out of 17 teams, while the boys finished sixth out of 18 teams. Cullman allowed schools to participate in two different sections depending on classifications.

Autumn Eddy finished first in triple jump, second in the long jump, fourth in the 100-meter hurdles and second in high jump. Heather Smith took first place in pole vault, clearing 7-6.

Tiana Drinkard took first in the javelin and finished fourth in discus. Misty Eddy managed third place in shot put.

The girls managed to grab second in the 4x400m relay, which included Hannah Johnson, Maddie Cvetanovski, Caitlin Dotson and Heather Smith.

Caitlin Dotson managed third place in the 300-meter hurdles. Lizzie Davis finished fourth in high jump and third in triple.

For the boys, Canaan Smith won the javelin throw followed by Lynn Mullins in second.

The Falkville boys 4x800m meter relay, which included Drake Hamilton, Cade Wilemon, Alex Tuttle and Austin Wilhite, won their event.

Aaron Estes won the 400-meter dash and finished third in the high jump. The relay team of Estes, Tuttle, Clay Kyle and Wilemon won the 4-400m relay. Kyle also finished third in the pole vault.

 

Wilemon also finished third in the 1,600 meters. Travis Cole finished first in the 300-meter hurdles and third in the 110-meter hurdles.

Falkville will travel to Cold Springs High School on Friday, April 5.
