Graveside services for Mrs. Doris “Tina” Williams, 84, of Gadsden, formerly Hartselle for 57 years, will be Tues., Sept., 4, at 11:30 a.m. at Forrest Cemetery in Gadsden with the Rev. Eric House officiating. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing.

Mrs. Williams died Sun., Sept. 2, 2012, at Northside Health Care Center in Gadsden. She was born in Alabama City Oct. 6, 1927, and was a member of First Baptist Church of Hartselle. Mrs. Williams was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother; a great cook; and loved her family with all of her heart. She attended Emma Sansom High School.

Mrs. Williams is preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, Reaford “Willie” Williams; her parents, Joseph and Lillie Hicks; two sisters, Thelma Hicks and Mildred Dixon; and a brother, Earl Hicks.

She is survived by her son, Ray Williams and wife Darlene of Danville; daughters, Susan Kopnicky and husband Joe of Hokes Bluff and Sandra Wilson and the late Gregory Wilson of Dallas, Ga.; grandchildren, Kelly Booker and husband Eric of Chattanooga, Tenn., Lori McCracken and husband J.T. of Dallas, Ga., Jamie Godby and husband Tim of Canton, Ga., and Chance Higdon wife Jessica and Tray Williams, both of Danville; and seven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be J.T. McCracken, Tim Godby, Eric Booker, Chance Higdon, Tray Williams and Mark Harrison.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to the service at Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services in Gadsden.
