James, Kichler to wed in April

Mr. and Mrs. Harlon Halbrooks of Hartselle are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Katherine Allison James, to Wayne Frederick Kichler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Kichler of Elberta.

The bride-elect is also the daughter of the late Mr. David James and the granddaughter of Mr. Marvin Golden and the late Mrs. Kathleen Golden and Mrs. Reba James and the late Mr. Earl James, all of Hartselle.

She is a 2005 graduate of Danville High School and received a bachelor’s degree in agriculture business and economics from Auburn University in 2009. While in college, she was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority. She is currently employed as an assistant manager at Elberta Farmers Co-op in Elberta.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Adams and Mr. Fred Kichler and the late Mrs. Anna Kichler, all of Elberta.

He is a 2006 graduate of Foley High School and is currently a student at the University of West Florida studying criminal justice. He is self-employed as a third generation farmer in Elberta.

The wedding will be April 7, 2012, at 4 p.m. at Orange Beach United Methodist Church.
