Funeral for Coy Lee Vinzant, 85, of Hartselle will be Thur., Feb. 9, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tom Campbell officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Visitation will be Wed., Feb. 8, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in New Hope North Cemetery.

Mr. Vinzant died Sun., Feb. 5, 2012, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born Sept. Sept. 14, 1926, in Morgan County to John W. and Bertie Lee Johnson Vinzant. Her was a Baptist and a member of Local Sheet Metal Workers Union #48. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Keith Alan Vinzant; three bothers, Roy, Paul and Cornis Vinzant; and a sister, Geraldine Vinzant Byrd.

He is survived by three sons, Robert Charles Vinzant and wife Anne of Trinity, Michael James Vinzant and wife Donnette of Crestview FL. and Anthony Dale Vinzant of Washburn, WI; a brother, Kenith Vinzant and wife Sandra of Hartselle; two sisters, Laverne Vinzant Byrd of Falkville and Essie Vinzant Harris of Hartselle; seven grandchildren; eighth great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Karen Lott Vinzant; and a special long-time friend, Hazel Parker.

Pallbearers will be Jody Vinzant, Matthew Vinzant, Michael A. Vinzant, Robby Vinzant, Dusty Vinzant and Trenton Reynolds.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dennis Harris, Jamie Meyers, Jerry Reynolds, David Christian and Jason Meyers.
