Joel Glenn Simmons Sr.

A graveside service for Joel Glenn Simmons Sr. of Burlington, N.J., a native of Morgan County, will be Sat., Nov. 12, at 2 p.m. at Mt. Tabor Cemetery with the Revs. Harold and Sharon Terry officiating.

Mr. Simmons died Oct. 12, 2011, in Burlington, N.J. He was born Oct. 7, 1926, to Elton and Annie Simmons. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Henry E. Simmons; a daughter, Mary Ann; three brothers, Arthur, Mack and Noah Simmons; and two sisters, Aubrey Tucker and Norma Jean Collins.

He is survived by four sons, Joe Glenn Simmons Jr. and John Wayne Simmons, both of Burlington, N.J., Donald Ray Simmons of Michigan and Phillip Simmons of Arizona; a daughter, Paulette Slavings of Rittman, Ohio; 22 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a great-great granddaughter.
