Funeral for Zelda Hill Duskin, 75, of Falkville will be Fri., Sept. 16, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. David Carroll, Gary Peebles, Floyd Bradford and Aaron Warnick officiating.

Visitation will be Thur., Sept. 15, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Falkville City Cemetery.

Mrs. Duskin died Tues., Sept. 13, 2011, at her residence. She was born Feb. 28, 1936, in Cullman County to Marlon D. Hill and Leolia Boggs Hill. She was a member and music director of Piney Grove Christian Church. Through the years of service to the church, she taught Sunday school, worked in VBS and served on the hostess committee. Music was her real love – singing in the church choir and with local gospel groups. She also loved to cook and host family and friends in her home. She loved to sew and enjoyed her flower garden. God was first in her life and her family was very important to her. She was a community servant and loved to work at the senior centers. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Melvin G. Duskin.

She is survived by three daughters, JoAnn Duskin Forbes and husband Rick of Hessmer, La., Brenda Duskin Saladrigas and husband Tony of Gainesville, Ga. and Sherry Duskin Calvert and husband Byron of Hartselle; a brother, William Hayes Hill of Cullman; a sister, Evelyn Willis of Colorado; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Brent Lawrimore, John Hart, Jamie Tate, Ryland Wilson, Martin Cagle and Matt Carroll.
