Ryan collects canned goods

Happy birthday wishes to Alaina West.
In loving memory of Pam Sieweke on behalf of the seventh grade class….
Friday, Nov. 19, 2010, was the one year anniversary of our beloved teacher, Mrs. Pamela Sieweke’s death.  The students and staff here at Ryan Junior High miss her bubbling personality, her smile and her ability to make students and staff feel special.  Mrs. Sieweke wasn’t just a teacher, but a friend, and like a mom.  The grieving is still not over.  We all still miss her every day. …..Libby Pannell, Ashley Nelson, Skyler Ray, Katilin Hughes, Harley Whisenant, Amber Smith and Mikayla Hyatt.
Our Alabama vs. Auburn Penny Drive is going strong. It will end the week before we get out for Christmas. The class that collects the most change will win a surprise like an ice cream or Popsicle party.
A Can-A-Thon is being sponsored by Mrs. Ransom and the Ryan Junior High School Beta Club.  Can-A-Thon is a canned food drive that provides food to local agencies in Morgan County to help people in our community.  WAFF48 will collect the cans at the Decatur Mall in December, so bring some canned food items to your homeroom teacher before Dec. 1.
The homeroom with the most cans donated will win a treat!
As you begin planning your holiday menus and goodies, please be sure to save and send your Campbell’s soup labels and box tops for education.  They really help.
