Holmes, Jones to wed
Dennis and Teresa Holmes of Falkville announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Jo Holmes, to Michael Lance Jones, son of Jerry Jones and the late Mary Jones of Cullman.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Martha Holmes and the late M.L. Holmes of Falkville and Betty and Larry Strickland of Cullman and the late James Williamson.
A 2004 graduate of Falkville High School, she will graduate from the University of North Alabama where she will receive a bachelor’s degree in nursing.
The groom is the grandson of Bobbie Jones and the late Millard Jones of Cullman and the late Margie and Holt Davis, also of Cullman.
He is a 2003 graduate of West Point High School and a 2007 graduate of the University of North Alabama. He has a bachelor’s degree in secondary education and is currently employed as a teacher at Good Hope High School in Cullman.
The wedding is planned for June 6 at Cullman First Church of the Nazarene.
Brown, Pearson to wed
Kami Rae Brown of Florence and Daniel Brett Pearson of Hartselle announce their engagement.
The future bride is a 2005 graduate of Central High School of Florence. She is a senior majoring in art at the University of North Alabama and is employed by Fashion Exchange in Muscle Shoals.
The future groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Pearson of Tuscaloosa and Nell McDaniel of Hartselle and the late Clarence McDaniel. A 2005 graduate of Hartselle High School, he attended Wallace State Community College and the University of North Alabama. He is a senior sales representative with T-Mobile in Florence.
The wedding is planned for June 13 at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Hartselle.
White, Greene to wed
Mr. and Mrs. Roger Jeffreys of Hartselle and Mr. and Mrs. Gary White of Danville announce the engagement of their daughter, Courtney Beth White, to Jacob Vaughn Greene, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lance Greene of Athens.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Truman Screws of Hartselle. A 2002 graduate of Hartselle High School, she received her bachelor of science degree in communications and English in 2007 from the University of North Alabama. She is an editor with the International Fertilizer Development Center.
The future groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Greene of Athens, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Vaughn of Athens and Jean Bowen of Atoka, Tenn. He is the great-grandson of Verna Perry of Athens. A 2003 graduate of Athens High School, he graduated from Athens State University in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems.
He is employed as a graphic artist at WHNT News 19.
The wedding is planned for June 6 at 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Athens.
