Letson, Kirby exchange vows
Lindsey Erin Letson of Hartselle and Michael Wheeler Kirby of Trinity were wed July 19, 2008, at Flint Baptist Church.
The bride is the daughter of Roger and Lyn Letson of Hartselle. The groom is the son of Mikie and Cindy Kirby of Trinity.
Rev. Reuben “Lucky” Teague officiated the ceremony.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a formal gown of candlelight satin with a fitted bodice featuring a modified sweetheart neckline and basque waist. It was embellished with silver embroidery, crystals, silver bugle beads, rochelle beads and clear sequins. The full skirt, with inverted side pleats and edged with matching embroidery and beading, flowed into a semi-cathedral train. Pleated pickups, embroidery and beading accented the center back of the train. She wore a single tier veil of shear illusion.
Jessica Barbrey of Hartselle and Brooke Pettey of Hartselle were matrons of honor. Bridemaids were Jordan Barbrey of Hartselle, Kathryn Hall of Decatur and Ami Letson of Calera.
Bridesmaids wore strapless dresses of latte satin with cream sashes.
Flower girl was McKenzie Mann of Chelsea and Ashlyn Rogers of Pelzer, S.C.
Ring bearer was Logan Haraway of Decatur.
The groom’s father was best man.
Groomsmen were Zach Letson of Hartselle, Mack Haraway of Decatur, William Johnson of Decatur and Zach Kirby of Trinity.
Ushers were Wes Letson of Calera, Chase Barbrey of Hartselle, Michael Hamilton of Decatur and Patrick Terrell of Decatur.
Music was provided by Connie Benson. Wedding director was Tricia Peck.
The reception was held at Flint Baptist Church.
Assisting with the reception were Lea Cottingham, Kim Hargett, Debbie Greenberg, Pam McKleskey, Gloria Green and the ladies of Flint Baptist Church. Jennifer Benson attended the bride’s book. After a wedding trip to Panama City Beach, Fla., the couple is residing in Hartselle.
